Congratulations to the Special Olympics Unified basketball team on their regional win Saturday, February 18th. Tigers were victorious over the Vernon HIlls HS Storm White (39-33) game one, Semi-final (Streator Bulldogs (42-24), game 2 and Hononegah Final game (35-34), final game. High scorer against Vernon Hills and Streator was Brad Kirk with 18 and 16 points, Lexxie Woods scored a 3 point shot against Streator and Nolan Frank was high scorer in final game with Hononegah scoring 16 points, 4 ,3 point shots. Great team effort by all. The Tigers will advance to the IHSA boys basketball tournament March 17 and 18 in Peoria.
