The family and close associates of 1990 Princeton High School graduate, Christopher Friend, in conjunction with the Princeton High School Guidance Department have announced the establishment of the Chris Friend Graphic Arts Scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded to a deserving Princeton High School senior, who plans to further his or her education in the field of art, with a preference given to those studying Graphic Arts or Graphic Communications. This non-renewable $1,000 scholarship will be paid directly to the school the recipient plans to attend.
“Chris had a tremendous enthusiasm for life and a love of art. He began his study in graphic arts at the Area Career Center and then continued his education in the field at Triton College. This scholarship will go a long way to keep his presence at the forefront while serving future PHS graduates who shared his passion for advancing art. It is fitting tribute to him, his family and to those who knew him well,” said Princeton High School Guidance Director Brian Church.
The application for the Chris Friend Graphic Arts Scholarship can be downloaded by any interested seniors by going to PREPHQ and clicking on Shared Files.
