Princeton High School Drama Department presents Little Women by Kate Hamill, adapted from the novel by Louisa May Alcott, on Saturday November 1 at 7PM and  Sunday November 2nd at 2PM in the Sally Skinner Auditorium.

Based on Louisa May Alcott’s timeless novel, Little Women follows the lives of the March sisters: responsible Meg (Tricia Kloepping), independent Jo (Elin Workman), loving Beth (Mia Sluis), and ambitious Amy (Bianka Nickelsen). The play adaption chronicles the sisters’ adolescence in the 1860s as they strive to be kind, intelligent, and imaginative young women. But as adulthood approaches, each sister must negotiate her private ambitions with society’s expectations. In a war-torn world defined by gender, class, and personal tragedy, Jo March comes to write her greatest story: that of the March sisters, destined to be four imperfect little women.

In addition to our March sisters, the cast includes seniors Mo Franklin, Angela Frost, and James Schillaci; juniors Anna Boughton, Hanna Claiborne, and Jo Czerwin; sophomores  Lincoln Frost, Alyssa Stewart, Andrew Stocking; and freshmen Eliana Carlson and Lily Simpson.

PHS Director of Drama Joan Simpson will direct the production with student director Grace Nesbitt as well as stage managers Alex Killin, Illyana Jones, and Melanie Zimmerman. Tickets may be purchased at the door–$7 for adults and $5 for children 17 and under.  Princeton High School students will get in free with their student IDs. Little Women is presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC, servicing the Dramatists Play Service collection. (www.dramatists.com)
