Princeton High School Scholastic Bowl has started a new tradition to recognize individuals and organizations that have made a lasting impact on the program.

This year, the program presented the first-ever Princeton Scholastic Bowl Distinguished Service Award to the Princeton Masonic Lodge in recognition of its many years of service and support to Princeton High School Scholastic Bowl.

The award was created to honor those who have gone above and beyond in supporting Princeton students, coaches, families, and the broader Scholastic Bowl community. The Princeton Masonic Lodge was selected as the first recipient because of its long-standing commitment to the program.

For many years, the Lodge has hosted the annual Princeton Scholastic Bowl Banquet, providing a meaningful setting for players, families, and coaches to celebrate the season and recognize student achievement. The Lodge has also provided team awards, helping ensure that students are honored for their hard work, leadership, and dedication.

The Lodge’s support has extended beyond Princeton’s own team as well. When Princeton High School hosted the Class 2A Academic Bowl Sectional, the Princeton Masonic Lodge helped feed players from all participating teams, along with coaches and spectators.

“Scholastic Bowl programs do not grow without people and organizations who believe in students and are willing to support them,” Princeton High School Head Coach Brody Anderson said. “The Princeton Masonic Lodge has been a tremendous friend to our program for many years. Their generosity has helped us celebrate our students, host events, and create a stronger Scholastic Bowl community. It felt only right that they be the first recipients of this award.”

The Princeton Scholastic Bowl Distinguished Service Award will continue to be presented in future years to individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the program and helped promote academic competition at Princeton High School.
