Princeton High School Presents OUR TOWN, November 2 & 3

Princeton High School Theater Department will present its fall play Our Town by Thornton Wilder on November 2 and 3 at 7:00 p.m in the Sally Skinner Auditorium.

We celebrate the simple pleasures of small-town living with this immortal play which is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year. The drama about two ordinary families living in adjacent houses in sleepy Grover’s Corners, N.H. in the early years of the 20th century has been described by many as the Great American Play. The play details the everyday lives of those two families, the Gibbs and the Webbs. But underlying the events of their lives – marriages, births, and deaths – is a hope for something more, a transcendental experience unique to the human condition. Wilder’s principal characters are brought to life by juniors Eliza Atkinson (Stage Manager), Mia Bowen (Emily Webb), and Christian Smith (George Gibbs). The Webb family is portrayed by senior Joshua Wooden (Mr. Webb), freshman Audrey Nelson (Mrs. Webb), and senior Claire Hamilton (Wally Webb); the Gibbs family is portrayed by junior Beckett Conwell (Dr. Gibbs), sophomore Jaidyn Bass (Mrs. Gibbs), and freshman Rachel Kirkpatrick (Rebecca Gibbs).  Other cast members include seniors Mia Akers, Lydia Brown, Genevieve Charry, Macie Jansen, Ida Kappel-Boysen, Kaitlyn Leopold, Thressa Nelson, Rattryna Yim; juniors Abby Davis, Riley Lucas, Alexandra Michael; sophomores Tara Ford, Lauren Frost, and Alex Kniss; freshmen Jacob Aley, Graycee Funderberg, Trent Goodale II, Riley Jansen, Andrea Imsland, Mary Underwood, and Ashten Wilson.

Joan Simpson will direct the production with assistance from Director of Drama Events Renee Kozeal, Student Director Brielle Conwell, and Stage Manager Remi Rawlings. Tickets may be purchased at the door–$7 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.  Princeton High School students will get in free with their student IDs. Our Town is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.
